At Froakatile, our mission is to transform financial education in Ghana by providing accessible, culturally relevant tools and resources that empower individuals to take control of their financial futures. We believe that financial literacy is a fundamental life skill that should be available to everyone, regardless of their background or current financial situation.
Froakatile was founded in 2018 by Akosua Mensah, a financial educator with a passion for helping Ghanaians develop healthy financial habits. After working in banking for over a decade, Akosua recognized a critical gap in financial education materials that addressed the specific economic challenges and cultural contexts of Ghana.
What began as small financial literacy workshops in Cape Coast quickly grew as participants experienced real changes in their financial situations. Recognizing the need for take-home materials that could reinforce workshop lessons, Akosua developed the first Financial Tracking Journal, which became our flagship product.
Today, Froakatile has grown into a respected financial education hub serving thousands of Ghanaians with both physical educational products and digital resources. Our name, combining elements of "frog" (symbolizing growth and transformation) and "akatile" (meaning "wisdom" in Akan), reflects our core belief that financial wisdom leads to personal transformation.

With over 15 years of experience in banking and financial education, Akosua founded Froakatile to make financial literacy accessible to all Ghanaians. She holds an MBA in Finance and is passionate about empowering women through financial independence.

Grace oversees the development of all educational content, ensuring it meets our rigorous standards for clarity and practical application. With a background in education and financial planning, she brings a unique perspective to financial literacy.
Financial Research Director
Kwame leads our research department, analyzing financial trends and best practices to ensure our materials remain cutting-edge and relevant. With a Ph.D. in Economics and experience as a financial analyst, he brings deep expertise to our content.
